In VMware Cloud Foundation, the vCenter`s, Platform Services Controllers and other Management virtual machines are hosted in the Management Workload Domain (WLD).
When VxRAIL is initially deployed, the PSC`s are internal, but during the VCF deployment phase, the controllers are converted from internal to external. It should be noted that this is for VCF version 3.10. In VCF 4.X with vSphere 7, the PSC`s will be embedded into vCenter, which will greatly simplify management and operations.
Each WLD vCenter is connected to one of the PSC instances, which form the basis of the single sign on (SSO) domain.
You can find out which PSC your vCenter is pointed to by running the following commands from the VCSA appliance:
Step 1: Elevate to root:
> shell.set --enabled true
> shell
Step 2: Locate PSC:
# /usr/lib/vmware-vmafd/bin/vmafd-cli get-ls-location --server-name localhost
